Unlike most other Ugandans, many Karamojong shun western-style clothes and instead wear "traditional" dress of a blanket -like shawl, often in red and black. The women wear elaborate beadwork. Quite often, the Karamajong are willing to perform their dances for visiting tourists. Though the jumping dance is the most unusual and best known, there are plenty of other traditional dances that the Karamajong perform. Karamajong dances are very structured and are performed for certain occasions. A true Kajong dance is something not to be missed.
